Cavius - The World's Smallest Heat and Smoke Detector
CAVIUS invented/designed, the Red Dot awarded, world's smallest heat and smoke detector a couple of years ago. This time we made communicating alarms, individually, the Worlds Smallest of their kind. They are all created within the same design line. And... they are all approved after the highest European norms.
The environment is in our mindset during design stages. Small (light freight), Long life (low battery consumption), Packaging sustainability and detection (no chemistry) are among the considerations.

Smoke alarms are one of the most essential accessories your home will ever need, but are often the last thing you think about! You spend of hundreds of thousands buying or designing and building your dream home and then, reluctantly, install large and unsightly smoke alarms throughout – well, not any more!
The Danish designed CAVIUS Photoelectric Smoke Alarm is a welcome change to the traditionally large and unsightly smoke alarms we have had for years. Using all the recommended technologies from Fire Services, offering early detection of a home fire with a loud piercing audio alert when smoke is detected and it just looks great! Being so small and aesthetically pleasing you don’t mind placing it where it will work best – right in the centre of the room.
Thermal Heat Alarm
The Danish designed CAVIUS Thermal Heat Alarm is a game changer! Over 44% of residential fires start in areas you are unable to install smoke alarms, areas which normally have high levels of dust or fumes. These contaminants result in a build-up in the sensing chamber which can impair performance of a smoke alarm, regardless of type.
The CAVIUS Thermal Heat Alarm has been designed to warn of flaming fires in the areas not suitable to install smoke alarms; kitchens, garages, workshops or laundries.
By using state of the art technology, the Thermal Heat Alarm monitors normal and expected changes in ambient room temperature. If rapid and constant change of temperature increases, the Thermal Heat Alarm will sound.
The Thermal Heat Alarm detects flaming fires in not just one but two ways; to slowly developing flaming fires by using a fixed temperature setting and where rapid response to fire is vital, rate-of-rise is used.
The CAVIUS Thermal Heat alarms come fitted with a 10 year long-life battery. Once they are installed with the unique and simple “Smart Clip” ceiling mechanism, the battery is activated. They have an audio alert output of 85dB(A) at 3 metres, generating a piercing alarm designed to give you more time to react and respond or evacuate the home.
CAVIUS devices have a 30 day low battery warning, increasing your chances of identifying that your alarms need to be replaced.
The multi function side button contains an LED. This intelligent button is the device’s test button as well as the hush or pause button. It will put the unit to sleep if you have caused a false alarm and the device will automatically reactivate after 10 minutes. It also emits a regular, dim low light flash to let you know the device is active and operating.
Aesthetically pleasing CAVIUS alarms suit any new home, refurbishment and areas of your home like the kitchen, garage or laundry where you want your alarm to be almost invisible. With a 10 Year long-life battery included, there is a lot to love about such a miniature alarm.
